Yes! If you already have a stone model, 3D-printed model, or digital scan of your teeth, you can send it to us.

• For stone models or 3D prints, we'll provide a return shipping label after you place your order.
• For digital scans, we are integrated with 3Shape and can receive scans directly. Or you can email us your .stl file of your scan.

This ensures a seamless ordering experience while maintaining the perfect fit of your custom mouthguard.

Teeth Models: If you already have your teeth models, we will email you a return shipping label when your order is placed. Digital Scan: If you have placed a custom mouthguard order with Damage Control after September 2017, we have your impressions in our digital database, and we will 3D print your teeth models for fabrication. If you are sending a digital impression from a dental office please send it in .STL format to dcmouthguards@gmail.com.

Forever! Damage Control uses 3D digital and printing technologies; therefore, we digitally scan all impressions of our customers, and we keep a permanent record of your teeth for easy reordering. You only have to do your impression one time when shopping with Damage Control.

Our HXC technology adds extra protection to the most vulnerable teeth.  

This technology is recommended for those who participate in combat sports.

Technology Commonality:

90% of oral injuries happen to the two front teeth. HXC  helps distribute energy forces from your two front teeth to stronger teeth that have bigger roots

HXC technology is internal to the mouthguard. It is a hard layer inside two soft layers of the mouthguard. You can add artwork with HXC technology

The main cause for this is the impression may have been taken out the mouth too early before the putty set. Therefore, gravity pulls down on the impression gum line area before it sets.  When we pour the mould the mould then does not fully represent the form of your gum line.  No worries, there is a quick fix to this issue with a few elements you can use at home. Click here for the video on how to correct the issue.  Nine time out of ten, following the instructions of this video corrects the problem.  If problem persists please contact us. 

The fangs that hang over your bottom teeth are actually made of the same material that the rest of the mouthguard is made of!Since the fangs on our 3D fang mouth guards aren’t as thick as the rest of the mouth guard, they’re naturally softer and more pliable. Over the top area, you’re even getting a little more protection as it becomes that much thicker with the protruding fangs.

You can also add technologies like HXC for added protection to the most vunerable teeth.

We always recommend you ask your orthodontist what kind of mouth guard is best for you or your child's ortho treatment.  Our mouthguard for braces can be found here. Keep in mind our braces mouth guard only cover the upper teeth.  Also, they will not fit if your child has an expander.

The difference is that the Extreme Impact has added technology called shock pads built into the bottom of the mouthguard, and the Extreme Impact comes with a mouthguard case.

The High Impact does not come with shock pads nor does it come with a mouthguard case. 

High Impact Mouthguards and Extreme Impact Mouthguards both come with sweet designs and both mouth guards are made from our most shock absorbing material Damprotech™ which has been tested in multiple studies to be more shock absorbent than the most common material used in mouth guards.

To keep your mouthguard in top condition:

• Rinse with cold water after each use.
• Use a toothbrush & Damage Control Foam Soap to clean it daily.
• Store in a ventilated case (included with your order).
• Avoid hot water & direct sunlight, as they can warp the material.
• Keep away from petsKeep away from your dog. Fido thinks your mouthguard is delicious.
• Store your mouthguard in a ventilated case when not in use.
• Keep it away from heat and direct sunlight to prevent warping.
• Avoid storing it in your sports bag without protection, as bacteria can accumulate.
• replace every 6 mos to a year.

Q: What products are covered?
A: This Limited Warranty applies exclusively to our mouthguard (“Warranty Product”) sold by Damage Control AthletiX, LLC.

Q: Who is eligible?
A: Only the original purchaser who is also the exclusive user is eligible.

Q: What does the warranty cover?
A: It covers defects in material and workmanship that could cause damage or injury to your natural teeth—when the product is used properly in a supervised athletic contest or coach-supervised training session.

Q: How long is the warranty valid?
A: The warranty period is 1 year from the purchase date.

Q: Do I need to register my warranty?

A:No you warranty is validated by your purchase receipt.

Q: What are the coverage limits?
A: The maximum liability per incident depends on the product:

• Custom Fit: $781.25 per tooth, up to $25,000 per incident.
• Extreme Impact: $468.75 per tooth, up to $15,000 per incident.
• Lip Protector; Grip Guard; High Impact: $312.50 per tooth, up to $10,000 per incident.

Q: What conditions must be met for coverage?
A:

• The product must be unaltered and properly fitted per the provided instructions.
• It must be used in a supervised contest or coach-supervised session.
• Damage from modifications, misuse, normal wear & tear, accidents, or extreme conditions is not covered.

Q: How do I file a warranty claim?
A: Within 20 days of the incident, submit a written notice including:

• The Warranty Product (which will become our property upon receipt).
• Original proof of purchase.
• A statement confirming proper fitting and unaltered use.
• A licensed dentist’s statement and radiograph showing that the injury occurred while wearing the product.
• Additional documentation (e.g., an official’s or coach’s statement, insurance forms) if requested.

Q: Are there any other important terms?
A: Yes:

• This warranty is subject to the Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability in our Terms of Service.
• The warranty only applies to each specific “incident” as defined (dental injuries occurring during one supervised session).
• It does not cover dental work for pre-existing conditions, orthodontics, or preparing a tooth for a bridge.
• Payments under a valid claim may be made in installments (up to $100/month) and reduced by any insurance or litigation recovery.
• Filing a false claim or attempting to undermine the warranty is a violation of law and may result in legal action.

Yes all our mouthguards are BPA and Latex free. All our materials have been tested for innocuous chemicals and meet the directives of the highest testing standards available for mouthguards.
